About Us

Our Name

Pictured to the right of this section is a dog named Precious. She found herself in a loud overcrowded municipal shelter where she shared a kennel with three dogs she had never met before and the stress had her lashing out at them to compete for the affection of potential adopters. Unfortunately her frustration with her kennel mates had her moved to the shelters quarantine room, she was then listed as "code red" and was running out of time to find a hero. She was the first dog I ever watched go on the red list and I cannot describe to you the way my heart hurt for her, she was a sweet dog and loved attention, she looked so defeated every time I left her kennel after giving her a cuddle. Luckily we were able to place her in a foster home and she was eventually adopted! Outside the shelter she even turned out to be dog friendly! When it comes to the homeless dogs in Texas during this stray crisis time is always of the essence, and of course we had to honor the dog that inspired me to start this rescue journey and that's how we landed on the name Time is Precious Pet Rescue.

Meet our Board of Directors

Melanie and Bambi

Founder/ President

Melanie founded TiPPR in 2023 while she was working as a Kennel Tech for a city shelter and she has been working full-time for the nonprofit ever since. When she's not tending to the pets, at an event, or doing admin you can find her at home hanging out with her daughter Nia and her 10 year old dog Bambi.

Clint

Vice President

Clint is an experienced dog trainer out of Beaumont TX who volunteers his time, knowledge, and boarding space for TiPPR and a few other organizations. When he's not with the training or rescue dogs he dedicates his time to his daughter Madi and his personal dogs Martha and Sofia.

Mel and Dally

Advisor

Melanie is a Veterinary Technician at an animal hospital but despite her busy work life she still volunteers her time and knowledge to TiPPR and the dogs in our program! When she's not working Melanie prioritizes time with her family and their pack of 5 rescue dogs.

Kristie and Parker

Volunteer Coordinator

Kristie reached out to TiPPR for help with a dog that was dumped near her home and the rest is history! Kristie quickly became a vital component of our events and a fierce advocate for the rescue. When she isn't helping us and the dogs she is out helping members of the community or spending time with her husband Glen (who also volunteers when he's not working).
